Now, open a message, and in the top right, tap on More (three-dot icon). After that, tap on Change labels and then, add or remove labels and then, tap on Ok. Pairing Wireless Headphones

Pairing the ML 80 headphones is only required at first time use. EQUINOX will then automatically connect to the headphones for all future uses.

Re-pairing will be required if a different wireless device has been connected to the detector (e.g. WM 08), or following detector factory reset.

1. Ensure your wireless headphones are turned off and are no more than 1 metre (3-feet) away from the detector.

2. Press and hold the Multi-Function button on the ML 80 headphones until two ascending tones are heard and the LED alternates blue and red.

3. Press the wireless button on the side of the EQUINOX control panel for 5 seconds until the Wireless icon starts to flash rapidly. For first-time use of the EQUINOX, or following a factory reset, a short press of the Wireless button will immediately start the pairing sequence.

4. The EQUINOX first attempts to pair with a WM 08 module for 15 seconds, indicated by the Wireless icon flashing on the LCD. If a WM 08 is not found within this time, EQUINOX will then attempt to pair with Bluetooth® headphones for 5 minutes, or until pairing is complete. This is indicated by the Bluetooth® icon flashing on the LCD. The Pairing process can be interrupted at any time by pressing the Wireless button.

5. If pairing is successful, the Bluetooth® and Wireless icons on the LCD will remain steady on. The headphones will beep and the Status LED will flash blue once every 3 seconds. If the pairing is not successful within 5 minutes of being initiated, the headphones will go into standby mode.

Operating Instructions

Power On
With probe at least 300mm/1' away from metal objects, press the Power button. The unit will beep twice and the LED (3)* will illuminate. When auto-calibration is complete, a short beep indicates that the pinpointer is ready to use. When a detection occurs, the vibration will intensify, and the beeps will emit increasingly closer together. When the detected object is very close to the probe, the beep becomes a continuous tone.

Power Off
Press the Power button. Three short beeps will emit and the pinpointer will power off. Lost-Alarm When the pinpointer is switched on but has been inactive for approximately 3 minutes, a long alert beep will emit. This will repeat every 10 seconds unless a detection occurs. If the pinpointer is inactive for another 5 minutes, it will automatically power off. Low Battery Low Battery is indicated by a flashing LED. When the battery level is critically low, the pinpointer will automatically power off.

Low Battery
Low Battery is indicated by a flashing LED. When the battery level is critically low, the pinpointer will automatically power off.

Sensitivity
To increase sensitivity, press +. When maximum sensitivity is exceeded (level 5), there will be a long beep. To decrease sensitivity, press – . When minimum sensitivity is exceeded (level 1), there will be a long beep.

Ferrous Tone ID

To enable Ferrous Tone ID, hold the pinpointer away from metal objects, then press and hold + (6) for 3 seconds. There will one long beep. When the pinpointer is close to the target: Interrupted chirping tones upon detection indicate a ferrous target. Ferrous Tone ID is effective when the probe is 10–15 mm (approx. ½") from a ferrous object.

To disable Ferrous Tone ID, press and hold –  for 3 seconds, until the unit emits one long beep.

Audio Indication
To turn audio tones ON (default), hold down + when turning on the pinpointer. To turn audio tones OFF, hold down – when turning on the pinpointer. If + or – are not pressed at all when turning on the pinpointer, it will default to the last-use audio mode.

Factory Reset
From off, press and hold the Power button (5). After two long beeps, continue to hold for 5 seconds. One long beep followed by two short beeps will indicate when Factory Reset is complete.

General Maintenance
To maintain a waterproof/splash proof seal, ensure that the battery cap O-ring is periodically lubricated with silicone grease. Always check that the battery cap O-ring and screw threads are clear of dust, sand, and grit.
